I have had the absolute honour to interview and photograph several local businesses in Alberta and I am here to share them with you all. These Creative Business Sessions are perfect for small businesses, artists and corporate, looking for something new for head shots! What does it entail?
A written interview to give me more insight into your world, a mock-up pinterest board of ideas and inspiration for your shoot, time spent curating your perfect session. You will receive a proofing gallery to choose your favourite 40 images with the option to purchase more. First up is Brandi from Diary of a Tired Mom
How did you begin your journey as an entrepreneur in your field?
My journey actually started as a sort of blog/outlet after having my 2nd child and then I felt a call to be
creative again and realized there was a niche for my sense of humour on cards and mugs. From there it’s
expanded to other products and I’ve done some business branding/rebranding and virtual assistance
work. I have my products on Etsy and two stores as well.
Do you have a full-time job aside from your creative business? If so, please tell me more about it and
how you balance them both!
Yes I do. It can be a challenge to balance both at times but I just make sure I stay organized and spend at least an hour a day on the business. It’s a work in
progress.
When you aren’t feeling creative, what do you do to try and help yourself get back into the groove?
I usually creep social media/people who inspire me. Sometimes that’s all I need.
What is your advice for young aspiring entrepreneurs in your field?
Just do it. Everyone starts somewhere. I’m no way overly successful but I’m better off than when I
started!
