My absolute dream of a session is always on a family farm or property! The excitement and challenge of never seeing the space prior to the session always makes me think on the spot which I love! It helps me grow as a photographer. When this mama contacted me nearly a year ago on Instagram we had plans to do family photos on her self-sustaining acreage. With our schedules clashing throughout the fall-time it has lead us to the month of June and we were finally able to meet-up!
When I got to the property I did a little happy dance knowing that the evening was going to be epic. Not to mention, I 99% of the time photograph newborns and smaller children, and this mama’s smallest was 9!! So to say I was out of my usual norm, was an understatement. The best thing about this whole experience is how I learned that I absolutely adore hanging out with older kids, teenagers and adults.
This family was full of laughs and jokes the entire time I was there and I am just so happy to have finally been able to hangout with them! What an amazing family you have Kayla, and thank-you for bringing me along into all of your families antics! 🙂
